Hi fellow softies,
my purpose of making this thread is to find out what kinda ipod do most softies own, and basically i owned an ipod touch 8gig but the memory capacity is too pathetic for me so yes im thinking of getting a new one just that they all have very tempting functions,
for instant the ipod classic having a huge memory pool of 160gig
or the newer ipod nano with video functions but its max memory capacity stops at only a 16gig but still comes in a large choices of attractive colours.
Ok so now straight to the point list your baby ipod that gives u a sensual orgasmic audio session, it's okay if you dont have one just join in by stating ur prefered choice of ipod

ipod touch 16gb (first gen) - travel a lot, need portable vid player. been using for more than a year, it has been a good secretary, n a good financial planner =)

ipod shuffle 4gb (2nd gen) - gym n jogging purpose
 
Ok I own both a pink ipod nano 3rd gen and a Ipod mini (Yes it's the uber old ipod)
The Ipod mini is rather old and the screen is colourless. It's 4gb btw
Well it's ok for me.. Not too big not too small, it's about a size of a typical handphone... It's sitll working perfectly fine now, but i only use it for display as I got a nano now.

The nano:
8gb. I love the colour! And it's 8 gb, holds like 964 songs currently... It's very very small, making it very portable. I love it as i can use it for jogging and gym, it's slightly bigger than a suffle and thinner so it's a very portable ipod... I really dunno wat to say but i know i love it more than a itouch, as itouch is rather too big for me... It's like the size of a touch screen phone so i dun find it portable as i put stuffs in my pocket. So yeah ipod nano for me =)
 
hmm but wouldnt the classic be a much better vid player with its memory haha altho yes i would agree that the screen is way bigger:/ but i feel that shuffle will nvr ever become my thing , huge selection of songs + shuffle=mental breakdown

for me, my perfect ipod would be a 160gig itouch, then i can have like 20 pages of applications geeeee

yea same sentiments nano's sleekier than the touch well that was at the later generations hmm btw ur nano how's the video recording quality? they didnt really state the details on the apple web.. can anyone clarify on this?

without a doubt, get the ipod touch. like 32gb or something.

sure, the memory isnt so big, but if you compress your files properly, 32gb is sufficient. the ipod touch can do SO MUCH MORE than its other apple siblings. As for the colour, most people get protective casings anyway, so it doesnt really matter which ipod you get.
 
im not a fan of compression.
i hear my music in FLAC and each file is like 25mb, my 16 gig itouch has just a few hundred songs, pathetic, i know, but i like my audio in hd
 
i myself prefer iphone. LOL. okay, similar to ipod touch. simply because some apps are really practical and i dun put many songs into the mp3... around 200-300 is enough for me.
 
hmm but 32 gig ipod touch doesnt seem pratical for its price tho im not sure bout iphone tho does it lag with that much apps and even as a phone/ music player?
despite being able to browse the web with iphone/touch but i must say that the wireless service in sg is quite cranky at times
 
but with the tonns of songs/apps and ur phone prog it really concerns me more then some shitty erikson phone lol
 
I just sold my 30gb classic because i reached it's maximum capacity with songs alone. Getting the 120gb classic soon.

Why?: For the applications.
Worth the value?: I bought it 2nd hand, so yeah. Definitely worth the value. It also serves it's purposes well. When i'm out without my laptop and i need to surf the internet, i use my iPod touch's Safari.

if 30g isnt enough for you i doubt the touch can cater to your needs and besides the touch 32gig cost a hell lot more then a classic btw isnt the 120gig edition dced? i thought the later gen's alr 160g?
and speaking of 2nd hand well i didnt thought of that but the prob is warranty
 
I'll stick with the Nano. It's relatively small so I bring it for runs and carry it with me where ever I go. It's light, fits into my pocket snugly and has a screen to see what on earth I'm listening to

They say iTouch is the most fun, but in my opinion to fully utilise the Touch is to buy the applications and tons of videos. I'm a music person so I'll give the vids a skip. Plus I find its bulky.

Afterall, it boils down to your taste and preference.
but dang! the new X-series Walkman is looking real sleek man...
