Official Club statement - Robin van Persie

FGL"S OFFICIAL STAEMENT: CCB!!!!!!

On Saturday morning, Arsenal Football Club issued the following statement in regard to Robin Van Persie.
Robin Van Persie returned to Arsenal on November 22nd following an ankle injury sustained whilst on international duty with Holland. The injury was expected to keep him out of action for between four and six weeks.

“Upon his return, the Arsenal medical team conducted a thorough review of his scans, his early injury management and the treatment he had received. Having scrutinised these in detail and assessed the response of his ankle, the Club’s medical team concluded that further investigation and opinion was required.

“Advice was sought from the leading ankle specialist Mr Niek van Dijk, who confirmed that more extensive damage had been suffered than was first diagnosed. In order to repair his ankle, Robin will undergo surgery next week in Amsterdam to reconstruct the ligaments. The Club’s medical team anticipate that a full recovery will take between four and five months.”

maybe van Persie should get some titanium alloy ligaments and ankles as well ... shins too while we're at it - cud make sort of a "terminator" footballer.

arsenal lembek already?
5mths out for rvp.
wenger, keeping with his believe in taking youth and turn them into stars, are not gonna do arse any good, in terms of winning trophies. he should start spending some serious dough cos with the prof as the head coach and some serious spending, arse winning the quad will be a yearly affair!
but the rest of the bpl teams will be happy with wenger if he keeps buying youth .

TWO LOSSES back to back??? It seems like I'm starting to like Arsene Wenger too & want him to stay on as well...

nice profits I've made from these two games. Thanks guys ;-)

Yup, Chelsea really took their chances and made them count. Both of Ashely's crosses connected and scored. Arsenal's playing rubbish, they didn't take chances when they can and tons of players are still out of form.

Losing v.Persie for 5 months will definitely be a huge blow, similar to last season when Alonso took out Fabregas for 6 months and everything went downhill after that. I hope the boys get the game together soon.

Chelsea's the better team in this match definitely.

so you're conceding that arse is dependant on a single player to get positive results? isn't that what the Pool haters always say abt gerrard & torres? btw, alonso did not 'take out' fabregas for 6mths. he aggravated his injury furthur during training....

bottom line is, arse did not deserve the points 2nite for not playing well. And you guys are currently 11 points behind the leaders with a game in hand. now with a first home defeat, key players out & the title challenge slowly slipping away for you all, it'll be fun to see how the result comes out in two weeks time at Anfield. ;-)

No question about it - AFC dominated proceedings but didnt take their early chances. Especially on a wet cold night.

I think Wenger got it wrong tactically especially in the first halF. 2 MANY MIDFIELDERS with Eduardo isolated alone up front. Chelski played a tight compact game and got lucky with the two crosses for the first 2 goals.

If AFC had taken their chances and if the perfect good disallowed goal sttod - it would have been diffirent story.

Anyways - we lose some, we win most .... AFC lives on to fite another ... We're still in all 4 competitions and Gunning for all.

Bro extremers - once again a pleasure & thanx for opening table last ngt at AFC fan club :D

Chelsea are really really strong. Got to admit that. Sorry Arse but I think this year it'll be between Chelsea and Manutd again. Not looking too good for you guys at the moment.

Chelsea definitely have the upper hand and I'm genuinely worried. They have beaten Liverpool, Manutd (although abit undeservingly) and Arsenal already. That's very impressive man. Liverpool and Arsenal just doesn't have the squad depth Manutd and Chelsea has. Liverpool is living proof relying on 2 players to get you the title doesnt work.
