THE FOOTBALL THREAD Vol 2

haha laugh all you want if you think that's such a great matter to laugh at.
It boils down to mannone's and song's mistake. What a waste.
Manonne tried saving diamanti's superb freekick with one hand but he let it free for cole to head in easily. song brought down cole in the stupidiest way possible.
too bad so sad.

nothing is funnier than seeing the arsenal and tottenham both drop points in 1 weekend... pure joy

eh paiseh, i typo! *LAUGHS*

ehem ehem *clears throat*... what i meant was;

"it doesn't matter if we top the table for now OR NOT... what matters is topping the table at the end of the season."

well i won't say it's an impossible task looking at the form the gunners are now. well, yes yesterday was our first 09/10 BPL Draw and it sucked (beach) balls. i hope they can get their brutal form back and start winning games.

the title race is still open, with Arsenal, Chelski and Man Ure aggressively going at it. Loserpool looks shaky for now, since they have twice the number of losses as the top 3 teams currently, future draw matches will hurt them badly. I'll probably snuff their title dreams this season once they rake in 3 or 4 more defeats.

I got a feeling there will be a new team finishing the top four at season end, and it won't be from Merseyside. Tottenham Scums looked strong for now, Man Shitty's riding on hot air for now, the drawn matches are slowly working it's magic *coughs*theyrenothingwithoutthatscumadebawhore*coughs*, maybe Aston Villa will catch up.

take some Strepsils man, you seem to have a sore throat.... or maybe you're choking on all the crap you've been feeding yourself about Arse-smells ever going to challenge and win a genuine European title.

;-)

arse always start great to their season and when injuries hit the team, they drop points here and there, that's when they start slipping in the table standing and end up 4th last season. nov just not good mth for arse.

arsene did say that they will win a silverware this season but my guess is that the only real silverware for arsene to win with those kids are the league cup where top team just doesn't invest their time and top players trying to win it. they will have to fight it out with the other mid table team .

fergie will no doubt want to win the 19th for himself  but he will have to fight it out with, realistically, cheatsea.

Unless the problem of AFC getting a truly PROVEN world class keeper, chances are for us winning the BPL or CL will be tuff - not impossible but tuff .... BRING ON THE BEACH BOYS ... let rafa stay - we like pool as they are ... in the doldrums

ARSENAL FOR THE QUAD!

4th with arse style of play ... i would expect more.

arse always a title contender with players such as henry, pires, ljunberg. playing beautiful football and win trophies/titles ... well 3 titles under the 13th year management of arsene.

12th yr running being in the champs league is a feat no doubt but ... still not winning it

even houllier has won something in europe with his style of football

well said dime!

every year they award the Champions League title to Real Madrid since they've topped their stats charts with 9 wins! :D

no point having a competition without competitors. without a competition there wont be any champion.

Nasri and Fabianski to start Liverpool game

Samir Nasri and Lukasz Fabianski will make their first appearances of the season in the Carling Cup Fourth Round tie with Liverpool on Wednesday but Jack Wilshere will be missing.

The return of the French midfielder (broken leg) and Polish keeper (knee) was widely expected after they came through a Reserve game at Wolves last week. However, the loss of Wilshere (ankle) is a blow. The 17-year-old has been one of Arsenal's shining stars in this competition for the past couple of seasons.

Armand Traore (groin) is also missing but Wenger will be fielding a relatively experienced side. He intends to use the game to give Eduardo (thigh) and Nicklas Bendtner (groin) a start. Both came off the bench against West Ham on Sunday but, before that, they had missed a few games with injury.

"Nasri comes back but Traore, who played in the last round is out," said Wenger. "He has a groin problem.

"Fabianski will get a game too, he will start. But Jack had a knock on his ankle and will be out unfortunately. It is a question of days but we made a trial with him on Sunday and we are resigned to the fact he will be just too short to play.

"Eduardo and Bendtner will be back. But we still have Rosicky, Denilson and Walcott

fabianski back?????????? - ohhhh nooooooooooooooooooooooooo

jvd747,

whats the point of being in the bpl when you're never gonna win it?

than u should say it to hhmmm majority of the teams in bpl.
he was referring to arse's fan post on how they are proud to be in the cl for 12 years.

seriously, it will do good for ur club finance but not winning it after 12 yrs in it is kinda show that you are lacking something in europe.
even fergie find it a problem to win the big ears.
