HISTORY
The Dawn's first live stint during the early 80's had JB Leonor on drums, Clay Luna on bass and Teddy Diaz on guitar AND vocals. The repertoire already included the now-classics "Enveloped Ideas" and "Living Seed". Taking from a unanimous decision among the three and manager Martin Galan to hire a vocalist, an audition was held at the Leonor Compound private rehearsal studio and Jett Pangan was chosen.
What to call the band? The nominees included Red Dawn, The Dawning and of course, The Dawn. Teddy liked the word "Dawn" because he was given a cross by The Sisters Of The Holy Spirit called "The Dawning Of The Holy Spirit" and "dawn" has a positive, hopeful vibe to it, a vibe that can be felt from most of the lyrics.

Elimination: (June 29, July 6, July 13 and July 20)
Prepare 3-5 songs (any genre, can be cover songs or original composition)
Criteria for judging:
70% judges and 30% sms voting and web poll.

Grand Finals (July 27) TOP 4 only
Prepare 2 cover songs and 1 original composition
Criteria for judging:
THE DAWN will choose the grand prize winner !!!

- the Top 4 finalist will serve as the front act for THE DAWN concert
- each front act/finalist will play 3 songs MAX (total of 60 minutes for ALL the 4 Front act bands)
