Pay-to-Play? Come on you get a big name like BDM in and post this?
Doesn't take a genius to know that there will be many bands who would gladly pay to be on the same stage as BDM. They should pay the local bands or just pick a deserving one instead of doing this. The shit has finally hit the fan.

it simply means reconstrux bookings is giving the opportunity to let bands share the same stage with headliner,in other words - we are keen on having 'opening acts'.
maybe just a couple of local acts...especially bands with recent album release or anything like that.the opening bands just need to punctual and have some basic discipline..like coming on time for soundcheck or for their set.it would be a bonus for us if the bands have their own initiative to promote the show.and they will definately get a little token of appreciation from us if we are able to cover the cost...we don't promise a band fee for opening acts so its up to them.at the same time,we dont require bands to pay to play.and most who have been supporting our shows know that we don't charge tix at a ridiculous rate.

most importantly,we make sure the touring bands' demand is met.

Thank you Mr. Reconstrux for enlightening everybody however we don't see you as being so noble for your past events by inviting bands other than your friend's bands to play.

You already said this show is gonna cost you more so why the sudden generosity? Not paying the opening acts unless you make some money? Come on isn't that exploitation when you have all those sponsors & shows doing well?

Being all commercial and wanting to make $$$ is fine but being a hypocrite + exploiting young inexperienced bands is downright low. OK... my band can pay $1,000 to play. Can guarantee me a slot or not?

well,even if bands offer us any amount to play at my shows,i'd turn them down.

for 1000bux,i'd rather they be the investor.

our opening bands are usually established bands and they know what to expect.we ever have really young kids/new bands in our shows coz we just wanna promote them.AND WE DONT ASK MONEY from them.they are usually more than happy to play...to be involved.

i play in a hardcore band..and we've been actively around since 97..and for all the local shows that we played,until today,none of the organisers paid us a single cent.we're cool though..
usually we got something only when play in msia or indonesia.

END OF THE DAY,PEOPLE ARE PAYING MORE,TO WATCH THE HEADLINER.THE TOURING BAND.

if you think u know us well,please elaborate what have we done and how have the sponsors helped us.

what type of genre you guys looking for? for the opening act of TBDM?... my band shadows of miasma would be very interested... we dun mind if the end of the day we get paid or not... the main thing is we get to open for one of our idol bands which is The Black Dahlia Murder....

Of course there will be tons of bands emailing u by now. Who wouldn't? Thats the point of my original post right? Many bands will give an arm & leg to share the stage with BDM. Question is how much must they pay.

Are u guys audited? Post your a/cs on line if u have nothing to hide or else u can say whatever u want.

Mr Al Sayf, Its only with BDM that this invitation is suddenly open to all. I'm sure if u invite bands no matter how much shit people like me say they will still play. Can't find anymore bands to exploit izzit?

Mr Psychosphere, I've attended 1 or 2 shows by Reconstrux and I think they r well organized. I never done a gig but it doesn't take a genius to knowthat its not easy to do. I support the music not a hypocrite.
