that's provided they've got the money to start with. What you say is very true. This is the best time to make money from what you have, just be careful of what you invest in.

Now the BIG question: how long is this recession gonna last? some say 3, some say 5, some say end of 2009. Lots of people are holding back on buying (generally speaking) and cutting back costs (like me and the wife) spending only when necessary, minimizing leisure/entertainment costs. *There goes my new bass, new car, new computer...*

First recession experience for me as a working adult. Will have lots to learn from this..

I actually agree with you , Singapore is based on meritocracy, the capable will benefit .

You know, when you're a family of 5 surviving on less than $800 a month, entrepreneurship is not exactly the first thing on your mind. It's all very well and dandy to talk about risk-taking and being bold, but when the meals and education of your three children are on the line, no one wants to take that kind of risk that will destroy your family.
