The best guitar teacher and probably the best guitarist too

I just wanna share my experience with this guitar teacher. Presently i am taking lessons at Plaza Singapura and honestly i can learn what they teaching in magazines or books. So yesterday i was browsing nearby for guitar shops at parklane shopping centre and i came across a shop call guitar gallery. I ask about the lessons they provide at one of the studios there and i tried a trial lesson and wow. What i learn in that 1 hour, maybe equivalent to 1 year from the present place i`m learning. This guy name is shaari or shari. From shred to jazz to metal to anything, his jazz and music theory knowledge is amazing too. His teachng methods and approach is excellent also. A very nice and humble person. Not all good players are good teachers and vice versa but this guy sure have both. in my opinion he is one of the best guitarist around and he is young. very promising, u guys should check him out with guitar gallery at parklane, its damn worth it!

Its good to have some theory backings. But remember, playing music isint all about theroy. Its about "FEEL" too. hehe

But theory is necessary what! No theory very hard to create anything. Too much theory you get limited by it, I'm trying to break out of the too much theory shit now.

No theory is precisely why some people can write music..
Why don't you try applying your theory mumbo jumbo to Hendrix's music..
You'll realise that his music is a theoretical disaster, but a technical masterpiece..

i believe theory is as important too. anyway knowledge is power, and does not mean he is good in theory means he got no feel, i think its just seperate issue. I think maybe because he studied jazz but he also plays rock or anything else but i think it is an advantage knowing ur theory behind everything.

guess so, works for vivaldi, not for hendrix. Speaking of which, I've stopped listening to him.
