the fl-9 is very good but hav gotten a ibanez fl-301 recently and it's awesome....not noisy but an old pedal and the warmness spells analog all the way.....

Im not a flanger either but i think the MXR [EVH] flanger is pretty awesome. Though, costly.

hm...i think boss BF3 does the job man...it can do a width range or wave form...which i think the other cheaper pedal cant do...so i recommand boss flanger...is a gd choice...
