arena getting a little bit desperate. Poor guys - their drink prices went from 14 to 5, their bands are getting more and more local.

Does any softie here patronise arena?

What I'm really looking for in Singapore is a no frills live venue. Something like CBGBs or The Knitting Factory.
A large enough stage(where it isnt so tight that the guitarist doesnt jab the drummer in the eye), a large pit (Slightly smaller than Glass House but bigger than HomeClub/GasHaus enough for 300 - 500 standing peeps), and a decent bar at the back of the house. Just the basics for a good night out.

We dont need the fancy F&B we don't need the fancy tables and chairs (well.. ok.. maybe a couple of standing tables) we don't need the pretentiousness and the frills... afterall.. we're there for the music right?

just my thoughts.

E, you just described gashaus. the place was a bit run down. and the legal capacity was 464 :)

oh well. Face it, its a hard market :)

or we can play covers and call ourselves tim- *COUGH*

of course lah, I was in a tan chiak band in aussie what. You need to play covers to get your residency, even then got to go into price war with other bands. Then the politics. sigh.

Willy, we open new bar lah hahaha

hi guyz,

FGL man, we'll jam soon, I just came back from Boon studios where I think we will jam residently every week and thinking of bringing the Jam sessions back there for next three four months. Will keep you updated on the date in next few days for traffic jams 3,

As for The Arena, well we lost our incredible jazz set,so tight these guyz, as they had to go off on tour, these players were always on the move. John Molina and Krueger will be bidding their farewell in a weeks time we'll be organising a goodbye party for them will post the details tomorrow, a new foreign band is coming in called Madison www.madisonuk.com, we hope they'll be good and should be resident for next 8 weeks or so.

We're in talks with various record labels to do showcases hopefully starting in October as well as might be planinng some weekly fashion shows string in next few months but nothing concrete as yet.

Talk again soon,

Night

saito: we open new bar lah hahaha

I donch know how to do ops lah. That one is a ballgame that I don't wanna touch. The industry is fucken tough these few years lah. Way too competitive and I donch have deep pockets.

These days I just go and drink at clubs/ pubs/ lounges (delete where appropriate) and try to aim for the smoking tables as much as possible.

Enuff of the nightlife industry for me.

Hey Guyz,

It's john Molina and krueger's last appearance on tuesday please come give your support!! a new band from the UK called Madison will be performing from August till September
