Ok ok i get the point dun need to get so worked up. . Yes they do jack the prices but isn't it a bit too harsh to demand a hardcase? I mean, yes their service suck, blablabla we have heard all that. But the sale is, to me a good time to satisfy GAS. Can't we just be satisfied with what we got and not hanker for more? Of course we all have different opinions but some of us here don't need to be so blatant. And btw, $50 is not a small sum but for a good hardcase, yes i wld pay. Wldn't everyone here do the same thing? As 4 ur friends who got the case, all i can say is good 4 them.

a few things to address
1. "The point is though, that it is a bit too much 2 expect normal stuff on a half-priced item". Firstly, the sale items are mainly display items, and as such, might already have inherent flaws (of course its up to you to check) in them. It is basically a take it or leave it scenario here. I do not think that it is too much to except "normal" stuff which originally comes with the guitar to be excluded in the sale unless explicitly stated otherwise. you are not demanding for extra items, which would definitely be unreasonable, just what is considered standard.

2." I mean, yes their service suck, blablabla we have heard all that". No one is insinuating anything here about bad service, they might have just forgot to give all that is required in the mad rush. So please dont go down the service route, because i certainly am not.

3. "Can't we just be satisfied with what we got and not hanker for more?" There is a fine line between being satisfied, and not exercising your rights to get what you deserve. Where you want to draw the line, is up to you.

4. "Of course we all have different opinions but some of us here don't need to be so blatant". I dont see a need to hide my words and my intentions in a forum like this just to appease the readers. I always try to proceed with logical reasoning. On the contrart, not being "blatant" could possibly mean that you may be misunderstood. I suggest that you learn to take posts which are as direct as mine. this is a forum afterall, and not playschool.

5. "And btw, $50 is not a small sum but for a good hardcase, yes i wld pay". If you paid for all your gear, perhaps you might treasure the value of money more.

6. "Wldn't everyone here do the same thing?" If i was entitled to a case, i would definitly try to get it without paying for it. I dont think everyone parts with their money so easily, especially for something which should not require any additonal cost in the first place.

7. "As 4 ur friends who got the case, all i can say is good 4 them." Yes, power to them, and those who know their rights and get what they deserve

If you dont agree with anything i say, please feel free to reply in a similar fashion :)

Jus so u know, i did pay 4 all my gear and no, i am not a richkid. And 1 more thing, lets jus bury the hatchet here shall we? No point getting all flared up abt an issue like this. No doubt it is something 2 discuss but lets jus come up with a quick solution shall we? And if u did value ur guitars, u wld get a nice sturdy hardcase 2 protect them wld u? And pertaining 2 this being a forum, forums aren't here 4 us 2 be at odds with other. I have my own way of replying, and i wld definitely try 2 solve matters in a more diplomatic way. In any case, all i made was a wrong comment and i have apologised. Is that too little? I recognize my wrongs and have repented. Do you want 2 continue? Or do u want 2 bury the hatchet? I leave the decision 2 u. As 4 me, i choose not 2 continue with this as it is a pointless argument. I hope u accept my humble apologies. I f u have any matters 2 clarify, feel free 2 PM me.

lol.. i dont have that much time to start an argument, and i personally never see any hatchet to begin with. I have issues with posts, and not the posters, but sometimes i have this irresistable urge to "correct" posts which i view as illogical. I'm not asking for any apology so you dont have to give one. As for being diplomatic, maybe one day you may realise how it might actually be counter-productive to the discussion of matters. In a guitar forum.... being diplomatic...

Have a great time ahead with all your new purchases, and do try to get the hardcase if you can! :)

No sub, i wasn't referring 2 u. I meant some of the previous posts(like mine) which were unwarranted.

i somehow know you're not. no worries, i've nothing personal against you.

I was quick enough to grab a Fender American Deluxe Telecaster from within the glass enclosure at 50% off the display price.

It totally rocks! Getting addicted to playing it now my back hurts from wearing it on a strap for too long.

Ha..........i'm glad that's settled guys. Btw, i did buy 3 hardcases and 1 isn't in use now. Any1 wanta buy? $40 only. Ibanez M100C 8) I called them 2 check only bcos my friend left his guitar here and asked me 2 check. He went overseas 4 a mission trip 2 thailand and didn't wanta bring his guitar with him. And his mum and dad are overseas too so his hse is locked up. Cheerz 2 all u guys. Hope u enjoyed wat and purchased!

Btw, my friend has the RGT220A. Compared 2 my RGTCR2 however, i feel that the CR2 is better in terms of construction. My CR2 only cost $625 after disc. but the RGT220A cost abt $1.3k i tink. Not sure. Correct me if i'm wrong. Anyway, the area of the fingerboard close to the headstock was dry, dry, dry! He had 2 give it a good rub with lemon oil. There were also other 'glitches' on it, which i shall not mention. The CR2 however, was near perfect, save for 1 scratch behind.

huh? it doesnt? err.. i think it shud have the hardcase.. or otherwise, u have been ripped.. wats the original price before discount?

Do check with the staffs to see if they have a hardcase that comes with it..

The original price of the guitar is 2900+. Then 1 of the staff show me the tag "guitar only" i was like huh?? then nvm i bought a hard case myself not prestige hardcase. Then i ask about the tremelo bar they say they will send it to my hse b4 that they will give me a cor but until 2day i still din recieve any call from them. But the guitar is still in mint condition no scratch. Btw i got RGT2020

if the tag puts "Guitar only" = no hardcase, but nevertheless still check see if they can give you any discount off hardcase since the guitar u bought is of considerable amount.. if not, i am sure a gig bag would suffice :)

i would like to change the notion that the guitars on sale are only display items. i saw a lot of newly stocked guitars direct from boxes. the affinity tele i bought was straight off the box brand new, so was the pedals

anyway, i would like to thank swee lee for their 50% off sale, truly one of a kind and expect me to be there as long as i have the cash hehe
