Just been wonderin....
Wads so bad bout TGM guitars?
I thot its been around fer quite sumtime.
Tell me your views...

Last time TGMs were simply pathetic. But I've tried some at Ranking recently and they're decently-made. The standard has really gone up.

all those 3-letter brands are like.. not that good.. haha..
examples.. TGM, ZEN, J&D, LTD.
of course ESP is not one of them..

they usually make copies.. lets say TGM copies a les paul.. not saying that its not good..but i would always choose to take the original gibson/epiphone les paul what..

LTD makes a more affordable copy of ESP's XXX guitar.. but of course i would take the ESP original one if i have the $$..

oh ya..and i do agree.. TGM guitars quality starting to get better.. i tried a ibanez copy.. its not that powerful for me to do metal..but the "feel" is there.. the neck feels VERY good actually.. maybe they can upgrade their pickups..then it would be among the common average brands already, cuz now they are like quite inferior leh..

Well... Essentially, TGMs and J&Ds are low-budget instruments. You can't expect them to be good. And, they lack the experience of big guns so although the big guns' low-budget models are more expensive, they are also still superior.

both them TGM and J&D are damn good really.actually there is no such thing as good or bad.

just a matter of this one is much better than the other.

Its the 'cheap' impression people have of TGMs. No doubt they may be good, but unfortunately they have low resale value. Give it time, maybe someone will be interested sometime.

I like Jems but I need my $$ for an overdrive (waiting, waiting for someone to sell an overdrive ) so yeah I can't go for it. Furthermore I just can't stand tremolos.

i think you should just keep it and mod it into a better guitar.

+1, because once its modded with good stuff, people will realize it ain't any normal stock TGM. Better resale, too, because of the superior parts. Change the pots, wiring, pick-ups, and you're fit to go! Keep stock only the wooden parts. There you go! You might even like it so much that you decide to keep it

I used to own a TGM Strat, the Legend Series, which is based on the classic Fender design..vintage tuners, lacquered neck etc..not bad actually, I`m thinking of getting one again to act as a companion to my Squier Standard Strat, one thing I like about the TGM is that it has a unique tone that I can't get on my Squier. ;)

Yea.Been keepin it fer like mnths olready coz i only play it for like 2 mnths plus.thot of sellin it coz maybe it may be of a good use to others.
Aniwae!
