i need to know the price now for the Tama Iron Cobra Power Glide Double pedal... any ideas? and in your opinion, which one would u go for? iron cobras or the pearl demon drive?

for pedals.. u must go down and try.. they u see which "feel" u like best.
for prices u looking for secondhand prices or first hand?
Tamairon cobras 2nd hand prices go for $300-$350.
Pearl demon drive im not too sure... $500? (not sure!!)
but first hand i think tama iron cobras $700-$750
Pearl demon drive $900?

THen again not sure..
And tama iron cobra steady...
but then again i havent tried the PDD.
But from what my friends have said, they said its good. better than the tama iron cobras....

At the end of the day, u see which "feel" u prefer. but also, PDD is pretty pricey cause it just got released compared to the TIC.

i use iron cobra double rolling gide for the past 2 years, no issues doing very well! bought mine from swee lee around 680 plus, price probably shot up.

recently at swee lee i tried their display pearl demon drive, but im totally not used to it now havng iron cobra'ed for 2 years. my opinion is that it doesn't matter which pedal u buy as long as u are comfortable and can do your heel-toe or other techniques comfortable on it.

Hi red dude 4

I just called swee lee bras besar, the tama iron cobra power glide is around 550 bucks for double bass and the pearl demon eliminator, for single bass is 380 bucks, for double it is 900+ , wtf. Since the pearl demon eliminator is so ex, i think tht u can go to ranking sports and music ( sorry if i spell the shop wrongly at bras besar opposite swee lee) and i think i saw dw9002 selling for 600 bucks which is quite cheap compared to the price of 1000 sg in usa.

But ultimately, for some drummers, they are not used to pearl demon eliminator cos it is so perfect that it doesnt feel like a pedal ( for example, my drum teacher and my fren ) and if u are one of those, iron cobra or dw9002 may fit perfectly for you
but I PERSONALLY THINK THAT THE IRON COBRA IS KIND OF HARD ALTHOUGH IT CAN BE ADJUSTED WHILE THE PEARL DEMON ELIMINATOR IS PERFECT AS I MYSELF PERSONALLY HAS A BIG FOOT THT I NEED TO WEAR SIZE 13 SHOES AND I TEND TO EXERT MORE FORCE WHILE HITTING THE BASS AND THE PEARL DEMON ELIMINATOR IS PERFECT FOR ME, u may not agree, and to be honest, i am just about to go to swee lee and buy either an iron cobra or pearl demon eliminator and i saw this post so i just offered my comments.

thanks guys for the replies.. what about the pearl power shifter eliminator pedal? with the interchangeable cams? any comments?

I just bought the pearl demon drive eliminator single bass pedal from swee lee for $360. It is excellent, totally no lag, and there is so many things for you to change such that 99.99% you will find your desired set up, it is much better than pearl eliminator. In the past before there is direct link, many drums company try to invent better and better chain pedals but up to the end. there is still lag, but pearl demon drive eliminator doesnt have it but THE PRICE IS A FREAKING $1000 BUCKS so maybe if you are not willing to pay so much , and to be honest, pearl demon drive although its excellent and it has no lag, unless you are playing very fast jazz or metal that is 150 bpm and if you are not those drummers whom are very fussy with their pedals, pearl eliminator double pedal that is half the price will be good enough.

you spelt it correctly :), maybe u could also try or look out for yamaha flying dragons, awesome in their own right as well also, its not what pedals you use, its how comfortable you are with it, preference matters. just my 2 cents

Im prettty used to direct drive pedals as i've used my Flying Dragon for like 3+ years now. Response is much better imo compared to chain drives. Still using my FD in the club but juz bought my Pearl Demon Doubles. Have not unwrap as my new kit not here yet but juz wanna add its awesome whn i tried the Pearl DD. Like what others said, good response and you can typically change everything to your setting and lock them up. U wont have to adjust it anymore, bought it straight away as its they are left with juz 1 last piece apart from the display pedal. Really cool thing but ultimately its still your pedal, your preference but i guess once you started to go into direct drive pedals, there's no turning back like my case...lol...
