it seems that hes gonna perform some fall out boy song in his school afew days later or something. and he told me that one of the rival bands will be performing some very hard songs. so im curious...i ask him what songs. Then he told me 'until the day i die by story of the year'. So I checked the song out then actually its not that hard,just quite fast.

So I told him...it doesnt seem that hard, it didnt even hav solos. Then he insist its very hard and the best guitarist in his school have trouble with it even though he can play all GNR songs easily(w0w)....So, I see the tabs played the main riff on my bass and he said 'of course finger faster than pick, and it has only 4strings of cuz easier!'

Ermm,,,is the song really that hard? and yeah, i intend to learn this song on guitar just to shut him up

haha... its not hard at all... if he guitarist is having problems with that song and he's the best guitarist in school... umm... i got nothing to say, lol. The most difficult part of the song is the vocals... which are almost impossible live, hmm thats all, if u're playing fall out boy, its a better choice, but yet again, he should seriously consider a different song choice

it's not difficult to play. really. and since when did fellow musicians become 'rivals'. must not think that way man. so what if they are playing a 'more difficult song'. it doesnt matter.

and there's no need to be proud of how fast u can play or wat u can play. good, then good lar so wat? there's like millions of better guitarists out there. learn from one another, teach one another. i'm sure u can learn things from someone less technical than u. keep an open mind, make frens not rivals.

and an easier song is better to perform than a difficult song...and Till The Day I Die is not that difficult...and that guitarist that can play all GnR songs...i cnt believe he cnt play Till The Day I Die...

tell him to play No Boundaries...NOW THATS difficult

but as i said an easier song is definitely better to perform...and make sure u're confident playing it...its more of an overall performance rather than an individual stage when u perform as a band...

Im performing with my band for teachers day.

And cos the drummer and rhytm are first timers. so we chose knockin on heavens door by GNR and creep by radiohead. And they are doing great.

both songs are pretty easy to play. so yeah

the BAND comes first. ha

its not how well u play, its how well u play with ur band members. If u go a 10 minute michel angelo solo but at the expense of ur band members, wads the band there for? Stage presence and synergy is what a good band possesses. Tell ur brother that
