check my Post on "Recommendation on Solid Top Guitar"
some peeps gave me some models already.
check it out.
If u say takamine specifically, u can get da D series D51SC from davis at $299 if im nt wrong. G series solid top cost $500+ onwards.
Luthermusic has Takamines, although getting a solid top at 500 could prove difficult.
Alvarez and Yamaha as well as Takamine. They deal in acoustics for guitars, and are great people to find if you need any acoustic guitar maintenance done.
G series acoustic guitars with pickups cost $500+ @ davis.
The D series D51SC does not come with pickups.
yes there is. around $400+/-.
The most bang-for-buck I'd say would be the Jack and Danny DG108. I tried one today at Ranking. Solid spruce top, laminate zebra wood back and sides, all-maple neck. Very nice, with a satin finish to boot, and well-made too. Sounded very nice, and very bright so it cuts through the mix very well. Definitely consider it. $320 I think.
I was also going to recommend the Cort Earth 100 but after trying the Jack and Danny today... Decided not to. The Jack and Danny was a lot better made, sounded better, and looks more distinctive with the maple fretboard.
If u're looking for a pure acoustic the Takamine G340SC is a good choice solid top retails at davis -300+ sgd
