Alvarez and Yamaha as well as Takamine. They deal in acoustics for guitars, and are great people to find if you need any acoustic guitar maintenance done.

The most bang-for-buck I'd say would be the Jack and Danny DG108. I tried one today at Ranking. Solid spruce top, laminate zebra wood back and sides, all-maple neck. Very nice, with a satin finish to boot, and well-made too. Sounded very nice, and very bright so it cuts through the mix very well. Definitely consider it. $320 I think.

I was also going to recommend the Cort Earth 100 but after trying the Jack and Danny today... Decided not to. The Jack and Danny was a lot better made, sounded better, and looks more distinctive with the maple fretboard.

i would have to agree with eug,
i tested some jack and danny stuff today at by left really not bad had a really great fretboard and neck really comfortable sounded really great too but sadly no money buy :(

to 9000:

No cons i think. Btw, it's D series, Takamine's budget line of guitars and it's made in china. Hence low price. Unless u r a person who minds where the guitar was made from.
