Takamine purchase

Hi guys, this is my first post here. Spotted this forum while googling for music forum to get advises on the guitars I can look out for.

So now I have this Takamine EG5303SC in mind, i saw it in davis about a week back and the vintage design really caught my attention, try it out and it felt pretty good. That guitar costs $700.

Tried out the EG330SC at luther's too, their guitars are fully set up, so the playability is much better than the one at davis. This cost $648 with warranty and casing.

So, do you guys have any opinion about these two guitars, or maybe recommend other types of guitars, maybe for a budget below 700?

Do you mean EG530SC?

It's down to which you personally like more. Compare the feel and tone, but don't worry about the playability since you can (and should) ask the staff to do a setup on the guitar for you after you confirm the purchase.

Comparing the specifications, though, I'd personally go for the EG530SC. The back and sides are of a higher grade of wood. But let your ears and hands be the judge, don't judge by the specifications alone.

Yo, EG5303SC here.

Yes, I love the design of this guitar, dreadnought with the very vintage look.

Well, i just went to city music to try out their custom acoustic. I admit that i was amazed by the tone of the guitars, but one thing left me skeptical is that it was plugged in into an AER amp that cost 1.7k. So...:confused:

Anyway, I find it very hard to test guitars in shop, because I feel awkward playing the guitar out when there are so many people around. So maybe I'll just play abit, "arh this is the guitar, sound nice, take it" lol.
