Hi Guys,

Just asking, are SX Guitars good? I play left handed guitars so its really difficult for me to find a suitable guitar within my budget and SX guitars seem to fall in my budget. Saw 2 SX left handed guitars in Davis and i was wondering if i should just settle for it. so whats your opinion guys?

I doubt anyone would recommend SX guitars... but if they fall under your budget... no comments...

Try save up a little more. Value > Lowest price, so you should get something of better quality instead. Surely, you won't want something that would be unplayable (warped/snapped neck, dead hardware) after just a few years right? If you play classic rock, blues, try epiphone les pauls. For modern rock and metal try an Ibanez such as RG321MH.

I started with a yamaha though, its 4 years old, and still plays very well. And it survived all the abuse including putting 5 springs in the cavity.

I don't recommend SX Guitars, they're a real hit and miss. Some really have crappy sound, the pickups I mean, they sound real dull. That's my short experience with one that makes me avoid it.

There are a few left-handed guitars at Swee Lee Bras Basah.

hmmm... beats me... I am not too sure if there are left handed models at swee lee, but the RG321MH retails for $642... of course you will need to bargain the price to about 45% discount if you are buying
