haha just a suggestion, topic title change to "is there a swee lee mid year sale?" cuz i thought that when i click here i'd see the promo n details of the sale, lol.

from what i know there's gonna be an Ibanez school-holiday sale - 20% off plus no GST, something like that. i feel like picking up a nice bass during the sale, lawl.
 
swee lee's customer service's a lil poor. i would prefer guitar connections or davis. hah. :) just my opinion.
 
sighs, ima get disappointed when i go there and the bass i want is gone. and i go before the sale to check it out and give myself at least 3 alternatives. but noooooooooooooooooooooooo. i think i give up rushing for sales.

I sent an e-mail to query about the availability of certain items and this is the e-mail I received on 31 March 2006.
"Dear Low,

Obivously Mr Jai hasn't got back to me yet!!

From now on, I shop for portable Roland stuff in HK from Tom Lee whose staff are courteous and whose shop actually has a full range of Roland equipment ON DISPLAY.

Will only buy Roland keys from Swee Lee and only if I want it badly.
 
I dont get it. surely they must get customer feedback about their service, yet they dont do anything ti improve it?
 
really? i personally find the SL service quite ok... i emailed an enquired bout pricing for cymbals and they answered me with every single price they cud give... another guy in SL... also attended to my enquiries patiently.... jus that one think i dont like aobut them is that their website is super terrbile and outdated and their cymbal stocks seriously are bad.... but no choice, oni them and all music carry sabians sigh... and another thing, when i ask bout sales, they claim they dono when the nxt one will be... oh but i noe they noe... they jus dowanna say haha....
 
maybe it's just not constant... i think i'll rate them as having an average, inconsistent service quality.

hey lowjk, does Roland have key-tars (keyboard but in guitar form, i.e. portable and slung around like a guit) in HK or where-ever u get your stuff from? my friend wants one and singapore doesnt have any...

Will the Manufacturer's sell you direct even if you mass order?
Very doubtful they will do that..
Actually, take Gibson for instance, even if you complain to them about how shitty Swee Lee's customer service is, I don't even think they really care, cos ultimately, some manufacturers (eg. Gibson) don't even have very good C.S to start with..
One incident, I tried calling Gibson to ask about my guitar nut solution and they seems rather rigid about it..
Anyway, jus an example...
 
i fucking dislike swee lee's customer service. sometimes you can even hear two different stories from their staff about the same product, they dont even know their shit to start with.

but what can i say? they are cheap, really cheap so it overules everything else lol.
 
cheap? i'm sorry did u mean PRICE as in $$$ cheap? as in their items are priced low? seriously? they're actually ripping us off quite abit... how else are they able to hold so many 50% sales and not feel the pinch?
