i am a total n00b who started taking electric guitar lessons a week ago.
i want to buy the ibanez s470dx, was thinking of the rg370dx but I read that the s is more versatile than the rg. also based on what i've read the zr tremolo in the s is a step over the edge iii in the rg.

what do you guys think? i hope i can get a decent discount on the s470dx.

also i want to buy a small practice amp, any recommendations.

S vs RG- the winner here is the one which is preferred by the player, no 1 model is superior to the other.

the ZR vibrato has a locking mechanism to keep the vibrato in neutral position should there be a change in tension. again, the superiority here depends on the need of the player. if you think this locking contraption has something for you, by all means, invest in one. otherwise, bear in mind that the ZR unit weighs more than the average Edge vibrato.
