Hi,
I have an small nylon guitar with a thin neck to go with my small hands, its perfect for me, but I want to strip it completely bare, down to the wood and stain it or paint it or air brush etc....do I use a electric sander or should I do it by hand using sand paper, it doesnt matter how long it takes me, also can I use bone or something similar for the new bridge.....& would it be possible for me to drill or gorge out some little holes or shapes on the fretboard & insert some kind of metals or oyster shell stuff, im sure theres something out there in the model shops I could use, this will be a project for when im down at the mother in laws house ( in the shed) if ya know wot I mean......thanx

For sanding down the finish, I suggest doing it by hand, as it's a lot safer (for your guitar) and you have a lot more control.

You can use a bone bridge, in fact it's one of the materials that are known for giving you better tone.

As for the inlaying, it's possible, one of the Softies around here has done it before. Do a search on the forum.
