Strings tt are easy to slide on?

Hi all.

Im currently using Ernie Ball Super slinkies..
For some reason, i find that its hard to slide on my strings especially the bass strings.. They seem to pose lots of resistance.. Im using a finished maple neck, but the resistance is from the strings i think, not the neck
Cud it be because of the high humidity?


Are there any more glidy strings in the market?

it could mean that your strings have oxidized causing that feeling...

They are only a week old and the 1st time i faced this problem..
Still shiny..

Is it safe or not to use Fast frets on a finished maple neck?

IMO you just need some cleaning fluid to lubricate the strings, not Fast Fret particularly. nothing wrong with using Fast Frets for maple frets...

I have used nothing ...but when i first started playing ..i felt the resistance !

If dont want resistance get flat wounds !!
