String breakage

Just thought I shared something interesting.

This is the first time i have snapped a guitar string in this way.

Lol, it broke at the ball end. Is it normal?

I've never snapped fresh strings before, this is the first. Usually when i snap string, they are old as shit. Could this be a manufacturing problem?

Factory defect. Happened to one of my D'Addario's before. Extremely rare occurrence in my experience.

Exactly the brand that I'm using haha.

I'm gonna send an email to inform them. I've been using d'addarios since I started learning the guitar till now. Really hope this is not a common problem among d'addario users.

didn't know the string can break this way... then again I rarely use d'addarios..

the D'Addario people get my vote for being listening people- they won't ignore you. i've related to them about some 8-string sets actually being duds because they couldn't pass through the machine heads & they attended to that rather quickly- & that's just through Twitter.

they just re-calibrated the winding so tha it fits through- offered me a complementary pack
