Hey i'm kinda new with such stuff & cant find my answers online so pls hlp me... Firstly are strat & tele pickups interchangable? like can i put a strat pickup into a tele? Secondly is the bridge pickup of strats or teles supposed to b longer cos its slanted so i shud b longer to cover all e strings (i think...) ? Thanks in advanced!

yes, they are interchangeable. you cannot put the tele's neck pickup on the strat though.

yes, the bridge pickups are meant to be slanted.

Actually you can fit a tele neck pickup into a strat. Its slightly smaller than a strat pickup, you can fit it in, but there will be gaps in the pickguard. If you don't mind it then its no problem.

Anyhow, interchangeability is probably limitless depending on how much work you want to do on the guitar.

Or you could get a swimming boat routing then the pickup combination are pretty much limitless except for the amount of space available under the strings from the neck to the bridge.

You will need to get new pickguards though should you wish to mod the guitar to accept different pickup sizes.

can tele pickups go into strat?

if the tele uses the covered, lipstick tube-type pickup (most models do, see pic), it's slightly shorter in length than the average strat pickup

the tele bridge pickup has a different mounting flap compared to the strat, do take note:
