any fedback on the diffirences between the normal strat sustain block
the cast iron normal ones and the stainless steel ones?

Is one non magnetic from the other?

Guitar gurus please advise?

the stainless steel blocks do make a difference. the sheer mass of it lends to a more solid tone. go for it if you can find one reasonably priced.

It's all about the mass.

Lewguitar claims the best blocks you can get for the buck is probably the Fender vintage reissue blocks. Nice thread with somewhat scientific, step by step method to ascertain.

Callaham claims that their blocks use better quality, some say it's better, some say it's not. Fenderforum has a post with thousand over replies, quite a few experts (Callaham, Suhr, Fender) arguing last time.

THe EJ signature one is rather special - because it is the heaviest of all current mass-production Fender blocks.
