Strap locks

Hi,

Where can I get strap locks that I can easily fit onto my guitar to prevent my leather strap from dropping off?

Pier.

yah, this is good. you don't need to unscrew and modify anything. and if you have a couple of guitar, it is more convenient to use this.

but if you have 1 guitar, may be you may consider getting the screw on type. but it's more expensive.

i have 2 guitars and both are equipped with dunlop straplocks. i plan to fit them on every other guitar i get so compatibility should not be a prob.

yet to fail me so far and you can just about install the locks on any strap you fancy

The only downside is that it can be a little unsightly. Especially if you make comparisons to other strap lock devices like the dimarzio clip lock.

I'm selling a chrome schaller straplock.. they are smaller than the dunlop ones so they wouldn't damage your strap but because of that, they do feel less secure, however, they don't make as much noise as the Dunlop.

And I'm also selling a white nylong Dimarzio ClipLock strap. The one Vai uses. ;) Very good strap lock system, extremely quiet...

Yes guys, straplocks can MAKE NOISE. Esp when you are playing hi gain stuff... your strap lock creaks, and that sound goes thru your pups. Not very obvious but its there... the Dimarzio system gets rid of it. And so does that Dunlop Ergo Lock i believe.

the Dunlop ERGO LOK is about the most sensible & least costly solution to overcome worn out strap slots that give way under pressure. sadly, it doesn't fit all guitars, at least with my PRS...

Dimarzio's clip lock doesn't creak but it leaves an unsightly portion if you remove the strap when playing sitting down.

Planet Wave's 'Planet Lock' strap is another sensible solution since it adapts to your existing strap buttons but similarly, it won't fit PRS...

:smt023 PS: thanks for reading the review stuff, everyone!

I'm using schaller black straplocks. You can get it for 20 bucks at davis. It's quite good though abit uncomfortable if your strap button is at the back of your body like flying v's and warlocks instead of the side like strats and les pauls. You can put a bit of oil if it starts to squeek, then, there would be no noise at all :)
