easiest way b4 practising take out guit from case.

In between breaks while practising, leave guit in stand.

Done for the day? keep back in the case.

soul player, same here man. I kept having to take my strap out when I put it back in the hardcase i got fed up and didn't want to kill my strap.

btw about rusting of strings.

It is important to note that rusting of strings is seldom the problem of string breakage but more of tone. As your strings rust, less metal is on your string and your tone loses it's consistency. Unless your strings rust very heavily, it will not break. String breakage is caused by metal fatique from playing hard. So change your strings often before they break so your tone will be kept full, when your string breaks it's too late already.

no probs eh8811y

bouncy chu silica gel isn't a thirsty hippo. maple is a very stable wood and any sort of cracking is most probably cuz of poor construction than humidity change.

eh8811y, how did your dad look inside his classical? Mould doesn't grow on wood that much. Pure wood doesn't promote mould growth so you shouldn't worry about that, it's more of MDF boards that mould likes. Maybe 5-6 years would result in guaranteed mould growth. I think few people can tell you if hollow bodies will grow mould because it's hard to look inside. My dad's classical is over 30 years old and I'm still playing it. It's been left in some damp storeroom in melaka for years and mould growth haven't been observed.

its not inside the guitar..but..actually..im not sure if its mould..but greenish stuff can be seen on the back of the guitar..the back as in the part where touches ur body when playin the guitar...maybe i'll take picture...but i doubt it'll be clear...

do take pictures cuz I've never had this problem before. Maybe someone else can advise?

Is it very heavy? There's a chance it could be just decolouration.
