THank you all fer you kind help!!..

CHEERS!!

looks like a karaoke mixer to me. All the outputs are rca. Still, it looks like it should work. Just get one of those rca to headphone jack converters and plug it directly into the soundcard's line in.

you didnt happened to find the camera you used to take these pictures in the store room too yeah? ha..ha..ha..

ok

Mixer - To sum various source of signal and output it as desired.

You can connect CD players, synthesizers, microphones .... to the mixer input. Using the faders, you can control the amount of signal that will be fed to the output of the mixer.

The output is usually connected to a (Amp+Speakers) or recording machine.

Don't forget to reset the GEQ (the tiny peg things at the right of the mixer) to 0 (the center line) to form a straight line...

thanks JAMES!!!...hurhur!!!>..

ok ok..i dunno whuts a RCA??

all i have with the mixer is the cable the one with yellow.red and white thingy at the end...

do i coneect it to the computer or do i connect it thru my guitar amp???..

sorry to ask so many qns!!... 8)

rca cable is the usually one side red one side white one.. the ones behind your cd player which are labelled audio usually rca cable.. left is usually white, right is usually red.(stereo).

the mixer's output should go directly to the 'recorder' which can be tape deck, computer, adat, mini-disc etc. Your guitar amp's outputs should go into the mixer's inputs. The purpose of the mixer is to 'mix' sounds together, usually vocals with the rest of the instruments.

well simple said is

instrument/mic > (guitar) 1/4jack MONO cable > into mixer > RCA* cable > convert/adapter to 1/8 (earphone) STEREO jack > your 16bit soundcard (creative soundblaster etc). or whatever you're recordin with.

* = (yes the yellow/white/red you mentioned, just use the red/white)

i added ya on msn. where do you live? you gonna be at http://www.citymusic.com.sg/latest.html this saturday? maybe I can catch up with ya there and draw it out for you or something.

the mixer looks old school man . it still works??
vocals could be a problem, unless XLR > 1/4 jack cable hehe.

ha..ha.. the mixer look similar to my old Boss BX80 (15 years ago).

to connect the output to your computer soundcard input, you can get a Stereo 1/8(male) - to - 2RCA(male).

honestly, before you go and buy all the extra cables and stuff, i suggest you hook up with SOFTies like blueprintstudios and let him take a look at it. can test out to see if it is working first.

yes please...i hope to be there on saturday...its at esplanade libray ryte??...i might hook up with ya..yeah..its kinda old though!!..haha...thank you so much james and blueprint...
