Spring fell out from Stratocaster

Hi guys, I got my first strat yesterday, and while I was in the process of re-stringing the guitars, a small black spring the height of a fingernail fell out. I've got no idea where the heck this goes. Could somebody help please? Thanks!
(It might have fell out from some other hole tho, perhaps the hole for the whammy bar?)

it goes into the trem hole.

Ah okay, but is it supposed to fall out everytime I remove the tremolo arm?

kinda.so make sure that it doesnt drop out or remove the spring when tremolo bar not in use.

Just put it back in, make sure its in when the trem arm goes in.
