because i intend to catch the Avenger installment, the Thor episode was on my must-watch list. if you have high expectations for this movie, please be informed that it's an introductory affair, there were only 2 battle/ conflict scenes, the rest- a lesson in history. a Hawkeye cameo & mention of Tony Stark were obvious crumbs to the Avenger cookie. the movie was acceptable in terms of entertainment but one can't help feeling the effects featured were a little jaded; you might have seen it before- bits of Iron Man, Tron, Star Wars, Watchmen, Clash of the Titans, among others.

I watched it yesterday, in 3D. Not worth the 3D, since the planes are so close to each other it doesn't really flesh it out.
I felt that the narrative could have been better fleshed out. Kenneth Branagh seemed to cram too much into 2 hours - I doubt anyone would have an issue trimming a bit of material and extending the screen time...

he he... i avoided the 3-D option, not into visual excess.

if you've yet to watch this movie, during Thor's earth moments, take note of how many times the '7-eleven' logo was seen on screen.

Whether it's good or not I have no choice but to watch it because of the whole Avengers story arc. They know they have a captive audience haha.

I felt Tom Hiddleston portrayed Loki pretty well. In case nobody got the end of credits scene, that thingie is the COSMIC CUBE from the comics, according to rumors, it might appear in CAPTAIN AMERICA, under the hands of the Red Skull...
