sorry bout this thread, just had to clear this out quick.

First of all, you need not be offended by something like that. Cause such a thing is really common in buy / sell world. Put aside all technicality of the problem, the buyer might just need the money back cause he changed his mind. You and I don't know what he's thinking and what i mentioned could just be the problem.

Here's what I'm thinking: I don't want to buy a spoilt pedal :)

Geez it only cost me $25 right? If it worked fine and and I didn't like it all I need to do is just flog it off again. Plenty of people would buy a $25 drive if it were working.

if you need to max out your amp volume and your level and gain settings just to get a sound when your pedal is bypassed, i'd agree...that's not how a pedal should work.

i'd say Avon Rellets sounds pretty thorough too, having checked cables and power sources as well. that's exactly what i would do before deciding that it's probably the pedal and not something disrupting my signal chain.

Yeah dinky, your pedal got some problem.

Its easy for us to just comment, however
It'ld be better to test it out for yourself
so you'll be thoroughly convinced.

So I called you up and told you it wasn't working. Now, why are you offended? In my conversation with you, I did not
a) call you a liar or a cheat
b) insult you in anyway
In fact, when you told me that it has always been this way, I sympathised and told you that you were cheated by the previous seller, quite justifiable considering that you were duped in believing this is normal.

good to know from the flip-side... :-)
