Hi guy, so which one do you prefer for your audio editor? Sony Sound Forge 9 or Steinberg Wavelab 6??

I use to use Sound Forge 6 and tot of upgrading to Sound Forge 9. but a friend told me that wavelab 6 is better... So here is my f&#king dilemma...Please give me some suggestion. thanx=)

Well, I'd say there is no good or bad between these two. It's just the matter of what are you using it for? Which one are you more familar with, thus, which one are you more comfortable working with? Which one can more fully exploit your skill and potential.

For instance, I'm a ProTools user. Though I've tried many major DAWs before, but I'm more able to work comfortably, faster, and produces better products with ProTools. My friend on the other hand is able to do the same as me with other application but not ProTools. Hence, it wouldn't be appropriate for me to say Logic, or Nuendo, or Sonar sux, and vice versa.

I'd haven't yet have a chance to try version 6 of WaveLab.
But I do used Sound Forge 7, 8 & 9 before, and prefer them over WaveLab 5. Once again, personal preference.

exactly whatsjsix said. I use cool edit because i'm familiar and I can do all the functions/things my cubase/soundforge/wavelab/protools friends are doing. DAWs are like weapons, they perform the same purpose : Kill.
as long as the target dies, the purpose's accomplished right?
