This is a proposal to make. Hopefully someone do start it. Every country has a Songwriting Association, Oz has a couple, US too, etc etc. These assocations are non-profit, formed to nuture songwriters, musicians etc. But there ain´t one in Singapore, there ought to be one. These associations would start songwriting competitions and events, meetings and "live" forums.
Pls don´t get confused with a Songwriting Association and a Performing Rights Organisation like COMPASS. Performing Rights Organisations are bent on collecting performance royalties and deal with performing licenses like a collecting agency, they don´t really nuture anyone.
