Thought about using Fruity Loops?
Can buy & download direct from software author. Don't even have to leave the house.

Free unlimited upgrade too.

I'm seriously thinking about this. Too pissed with Steinberg. Have to upgrade the software at a few hundred dollars everytime I upgrade the OS.
