some of my first self-recordings

I like your tone, though I feel you shouldn't slur or slur-scoop your notes, it makes the melody weigh down and drags the mood down as well... unless that's your intention lah..

Thanks for sharing them with us. :)

I wish I could hear more recordings of some of the postees here :/

Very nice recordings :)

I think the scoops suit the mood of that version of the song, if it's Layla you're thinking of.

The songs sound very well practised!

sage

agree..

I like your singing EXCEPT the sloppy slur ending of many phrases.. my ears kinda get annoyed by the pitchy notes of the slur..sounds fine if u use it at appropriate times...if it becomes a habit, goodness :(

I've listened to the Circle of Life, and yes, you did the same thing. Really, your voice is nice and many parts are properly done. But the sloppy slurs really make you sound pitchy and bring the overall impression down. And apart from accent (language), I didn't like your interpretation of that song*. It lacked the climax which I was expecting. Maybe because i've got the original song embedded in my head already. Hehe!

I enjoyed your singing MINUS the portions how you end most phrases.
Thanks for sharing once again! :)

If I am not wrong, that singing style is a la John Legend - which I am not a big fan of. Hee hee...

Anyway, music, like many things in life, is subjective. So, this is not saying there's something wrong with his singing.

I applaud his finding time to record and sing. I like the music. Good job!

I shall do the same someday, after drawing my mighty sword and defeating the procastinator in me.

Heh..
