okay

here goes tell us what you wish for in ur workstation or maybe what do you think could improve on a workstation. : )

i will start first
1) i would love to maybe have a audio sample and have the keyboard defines its pitch, meaning lets say i record a wood knocking of pitch A2 and the keyboard would be able to manipulate this pitch and sample it to every keys in your workstation meaning you now have 88 wood knocking of different pitches : )

2) Having a build on rack in front of the keyboard to install any sound modules to it. meaning we can alter and put reverb or any effects of patches all on one keyboard. something like those old analogue models you seen those days or an example KORG RADIUS.

3) Please give us more parameters even though its not an analogue sounding sythn!!! : P

4) maybe a miniturntable at the side as well. :P

5) Can we have a monitor like the OASYS in front too ? MORE MORE MORE!

alright thats all for me ha

Oh, and check out the MimiK software which lets you clone any keyboard/module sounds into their keyboard - all patches including aftertouch etc! Stealing??

Let's not even talk about improvements to the workstation
I just wish it is easier to buy keys in Singapore.

Tried a Virus or Waldorf before buying in Singapore?
Tried a Stuido Electronics Omega here before?
How about the MFB Synth II?

Sadly, with a population of 4m, these items are still considered too much of a specialty for distributors to import in large quantities.

I think Singapore's market is just not big enough. However, if the retailers are aggresive enough and cast a wider net into the SE asia region, there shouldn't be a problem bringing these "rarer" items in. But then again, my thoughts may be too simplistic...

NEKO another crazy mindblowing thing that will stay in my mind for quite sometime. : (

yar its so hard to get them to bring in stuff to sg. maybe soft might want to be a dealer? hahas.

but den even thought NEKO allows cloning how are you going to do it? clone from someone else sythn unless well the person is willingly to let you clone his preset right if not i guess you have to buy each sythn in the end too. but well since NEKO enable the use of softsythn in it thats really cool. so now you get just get a NEKO to perform rather than lugging ur lappy and another hardware sythn i guess.

It remains to see how accurately it is able to clone. I imagine it to be only simple wave sampling since each keyboard has it's own proprietary engine. Sampling only the wave give you only that much but not the details of the cc controls and the parameters.

But maybe that's enough for most? Imagine having Motif, Fantom, Triton, and various analog synths sounds all in one keyboard....
