Snow Leopard!

I just install Snow Leopard! GUI responsive faster and launching of program is faster too. This is due to removal of PowerPC code and realtime disk compression. Most of Mac will be running in 32 bit unless it is a Xserver. I never try in 64 bit mode as there is not much benefit in doing so in Mac forum. One disappointment thing is the removal of ZFS file system which I think it is being use in Time Machine. Alter the necessary change in (large) file and self healing is ZFS strength.

Unless Apple written programs, there is some glitch in Universal Binary program. For DAW best is to check vendor whether any update. I run Logic Studio 1.0 without any problem at the moment. GUI more responsive and loading is faster. Not so much in resource handling.

Some third party software may load slower or refuse to quit.

To be safe, upgrade only after 10.6.1 or more program is updated to 10.6.

PowerPC program is still supported.

Lastly, the Upgrade Disk can install the full OS X on empty drive.

I save about 10gig space then the 7 gig being reported.

For protool user pls follow Digidesign or M-audio recommendation. It is pretty ugly not to follow them.
