skinheads adopt fashion, music and idealogies from punk, rudeboys and mods.

racists entered the subculture and made a splinter group. they had neo-nazi idealogies and everyone hates them.

nazi skins. nazi punks.

theres even national socialist black metal.

do your homework before insulting someones lifestyle.

just because you got no money doesn't mean you are an assh0le.
and because you do have some money doesnt mean you can act like one.
some skins and punks are some of the friendliest people I know.

there are crust punks
hardcore punks
queer punks
hardcore punks
nazi punks
pop punk?
and the list goes on.. all of which have different idealogies.

also i know this has nothing to do with th thread but im just irritated by punks who think that the punk thing is by wearing studded leather jacket with a mohawk or call themselves the punk culture with a tshirt patch that says anarchy in the uk. you are NOT IN THE DAMN UK.

and also punk is about non uniformity and being different. wth is the point if all punks wear the same uniform. then they are not punks anymore.

I do not wear a leather jacket and I do not call myself a punk.
I had a mohawk though and I have an anarchy in the UK t-shirt though.

a mohawk is just an extreme hairstyle, that almost one guy in every music genre has =/

and anarchy in the UK is a pretty awesome song by the sex pistols (a bunch of vis-kei bands did a cover including x japan!)
so it was only right that they printed a shirt for it

i didn't start this thread to flame or blame anyone.i nvr said that these punk kids are bad juz cuz they're skinheads.i know that they're probably juz fans of the music and being a 'skinhead' gives them a sense of identity,so they feel unique and distinguished frm others,juz like being a metalhead for me,or being a musician like most of us here.all i am saying is that while they may feel proud being a sknhead they may not really understand what some factions of skinheads really stands for,and there are deeper and more serious issues to being a punk than juz music and appearance.

The skinhead thing is basically the same as any other street gang or Ah Beng type culture.

I'm sure if you get the chance to befriend most of them and talk about what are the important things in life you will find that they are much the same as you are.

The difference can come when you get a gang mentality thing going and machismo takes over. Thats when things can get out of hand. This is not a skinhead characteristic, but something that is true for groups of young men in almost every culture.
