As part of the Sing Jazz Festival 2015, the SingJazz Academy has invited selected artists who will be performing at the festival to conduct a series of workshops, classes and rehearsals. Applications are now open for the SingJazz Youth Big Band and Ensemble Workshops. Successful applicants who complete the programme will receive a ticket to Sing Jazz Festival 2015.
SingJazz Youth Big Band
The SingJazz Youth Big Band is open to all musicians aged 15-25. Participants will have the opportunity to rehearse under the direction of the Academy faculty and perform at the Sing Jazz Festival this year. Students who already perform as part of their schools’ concert bands and jazz ensembles are encouraged to apply.

Ensemble Workshops
Open to all instrumentalists, these workshops are designed to improve participants’ musicianship within a group context. Academy instructors will guide participants through their repertoire and share invaluable knowledge gleaned from many years of professional experience. The Academy’s ensembles will also get to perform at the Sing Jazz Festival 2015.
