Hi,

I would like to find a school to learning singing, but not sure where to start.

My learning pbjective is mainly to "learn proper way of singing, high, low key)
Just only to sing well maybe in karaok session, regardless whether female or male songs.

What sort of course should I be looking for?

Please advise.

Hey, I am Steven. Let me advice you on my knowledge, any course will be great if they do not focus on breathing techniques, and focusing on vocal cord closure and transition will be great. Read the syllabuses well.

P.S: I am a vocal teacher and if you need a trial lesson, you can contact me at 90514690, we can discuss further from there.

Find your vocal range first, know where you're at.

Proper way of singing, I assume you mean technique but take note that nowadays vocal lines have gone beyond what they were. Listen to Beyonce for example & you'll realize that her vocal lines are more of a rhythmic pattern than say the norm.

Kudos for wanting to improve yourself& yea, take up vocal lessons etc. Remember it's not just about singing, cos vocals should include basics in getting your pronounciations rite, tomes when using words for example when you say "Die" and "Die!!!!" the effect on the listener is different.

Take care of your larynx.

sing a long with your fav songs .... try to sound similar and in kry, in time etc ... u can progress from there

Hi there!

First you can start by imitating current singers... not one but a few. If you can imitate till the breathing (point of change) and tone (口气), ignoring the vocal position, till almost the same then you are almost there and ready.

You can also try checking out some Seth Riggs (SLS) vocal teaching videos on youtube. You can also try checking out Singing Success tips videos for guidance.

Try it out yourself first before deciding to go a school.

If you wish to attend vocal lessons in a school, ask yourself what exactly are you looking for. To be a star? Because some schools incorporate stage performances into their syllabus. Or just to improve your vocal? Then just go to those smaller scale vocal schools and they will just do fine for you.

Most importantly you need to know what you want if you are looking at individual lessons. If not, join the group classes. You can learn from your classmates too. =)

Listen more and observe more. You can improve. :D

me old already.....of course not to be a star....

maybe mainly is to improve vocal.
most of the time, the songs I like, also cannot sing properly

breathing should be THE most important part of singing. without your breathe you can't sustain notes and you'll go flat. And when you breathe, feel as if you're breathing from your feet. Your shoulders shouldn't raise when you breathe cause that means youre breathing too high. So always breathe lowww

hope this helps :)
