singing help !!!

im a guitarist for my band and backup vocalist .
my vocalist just quit recently and i want to know any help and tips
on how to better my vocals .
any help would be very much appreciated .

Can you post a recording of your voice? It's difficult to give tips without knowing where your voice is at now.

I downloaded the video last night, I was planning to listen to it later today. But wondering why it was taken down? The message says "Taken down by user". Do you still want us to listen to it?

i saw the video, it was of low quality. can't even hear his voice. i think he's gonna load a new one.

I had a listen just now .. yeh it is hard to hear your voice. Ideal would be a recording of just you without any backing. But with backing is ok as long as you are louder than it

I use a program called Audacity to record. Then I edit silence from the start and end, normalize it and export to mp3. At the start you'll need to set the microphone level though so it's not too loud or too soft.
