hello, wld like to hear from anyone. how's the music stores in singapore? good ones?want to see how different here is from hong kong, where i come from.
thank you

Hong Kong definitely better. I was at Tom Lee (around Tsim Sha Shui) and I was really impressed. The keyboards are all displayed and turned on for anybody to try without somebody looking over your shoulder and breathing. Also tried the guitars (bought one for my friend) and customer service was great. Even got to play the grand pianos without harrassments (the only harrassment was my son who was getting impatient waiting for me).

In Singapore, there are a number to stores for different brands. Customer service varies according to the stores, but generally not very good.

Also, the variety in HK was more (at least for the displayed keyboards). The older Roland expansion boards much cheaper - Swee Lee in Singapore is still selling those ancient JV expansion boards at full price.

3 stories for electronic instruments and equipment in one building, 3 stories of acoustic instruments and music scores in a neighbouring separate building - where can we find this in Singapore??? Anybody who visit HK must pay Tom Lee a visit. Can easily spend an entire day there.

bongman

Better do your homework 1st, bongman. The prices in HK are not necessarily cheaper than in Singapore. At least that's what I found out 3 years ago.

But do enjoy the good food in HK though.
