KILLER!! I saw Rabb live twice and it was both mind blowing! Both times he even randomly picked out people from the audience and taught them the technique personally! Real cool dude!

By the way, who is going to the drumfest this weekend? Me, Alfe & Mark are taking 2 full days off just to go! Really looking forward to chilling out with ya'll!!!

Prelimaries will be held on the 13th Sept, Sat while the Finals will be held on the 14th Sept (Sun).
Sat 13th Sept is dedicated to tryouts, for everyone. Sun 14th Sept is divided into 4 parts. Part 1 tryouts, part 2 Qualifying Round, Part 3 Tryouts, Part 4 Final’s competition. timing will be listed soon.

The prizes for fastest feet are Axis double pedal x1, Axis Single pedal x1.
The prizes for fastest hands are 30 pairs of 3drumsticks. (winner’s choice of model and size)
Registration is open on 1st Sept and will close before the qualifying round.

Practicing with the Drumometer will be available at Drums Resources Showroom from 1st Sept till 12th Sept at no charge.

Concert In The Park Venue To Be Moved Indoors

As a wet weather contingency due to expected thunderstorms over the weekend of September 13 and 14, Concert In The Park is now, for safety and comfort reasons, being moved from the outdoor venue Fort Canning Green to the indoor and sheltered venue at Fort Canning Centre (building overlooking Fort Canning Green).

Slight change in Concert in the Park schedule: (but all INTERNATIONAL ACTS are still performing!!!)

Dead tired at work now after the concert that ended late last night, but it is well worth it.

Big thank you to Tan Boon and the crew who worked tirelessly to make this event possible. Memorable times!

I second mel80!! 2 days of fantastic drummers, great music, and cool drummer buds...what's not to like?? I think any discomfort (lack of sleep etc) in the following days are so worth the enjoyment and and all the lessons we were taught.

Thank you, Boon and all your fine people. The Singapore drum scene will never be the same again.

Don't know who was the one who was practically drooling buckets over Stormie eh? *nudges jeepers* heh

I learned and took home so much knowledge from Drum Fest. Not just from the drummers, but also the vocalists. Sy Smith gave some really good tips at her workshop (vocalists, bring your own mics!) while Storm Large was very inspirational.

IMHO, it was a great idea to bring the audience closer to the artistes. Every single artiste at Drum Fest was truly inspirational.

Hahah, to say the very least, drumfest rocks big big time.

So little time, but so much fun and excitement. Best part is there're many varieties in the programs so it makes the whole festival less dry.

kudos to Boon n the singapore drumfest team ! you guys made it happen again.

Don't forget about Brandon Khoo too!!! The only drummer from Singapore to showcase at drumfest this year. I'm sure he is very honored to be featured in the same roster as Virgil Donati and other great international drummers. We should all be proud of him...

Love the way Brandon incorporate his style of metal drumming into chinese pop songs, very original. And of course his setup was damn huge and awesome looking... Love the Sabian Paragons... Good Job Brandon!!!

Only drummer from Singapore? Mohd Noor performed with his band and held a percussion workshop as well.

There were also the Strikeforce percussionists and the drummers who won the Drumfest challenges this year.

The girls and boys of The Strikeforce were damn awesome man!

I cannot forget the looks and smiles on their faces! I do think think that's what drumming is all about. Joy from within! Whoohoo!
