Anyone know wheres to find em? I'm particularly keen in the Epiphone's les paul silverburst model but I couldn't find anyone selling em. Does anyone know where I could lay my hands on those beauties? Help would be really appreciated if you could provide me the place where you bought and the pricetag.

Alternatively, you could get a banged up Epiphone Les Paul and get it refinished to Silverburst. See which is more value for money.

refinishing is relatively expensive, can easily go up to 300 or even more

yup, LadyInTears is right about the pricing for the refinish. There is a big difference between a good and a bad refinish and $300 is most definitely the price for a good one.
