Silent Treatment. Started in Singapore in 2003-2004 by founding members: Richard Bush, Rob Kozma, Chris Lowther and Chuck Jones. Second line-up was augmented by George and David then we grew with…. Heidi Lee on vocals and keyboards, Bev Hulme on vocals, Ron Boddy on guitar and Roger Ramijstad on drums.

There was a demand for a new approach to live performance in Singapore. Music lovers wanted, nay demanded, a band that were flexible enough to play Modern Rock, Adult Contemporary, Rock and Roll, Rhythm and Blues, Acoustic and Alternative all laced with a punk rock ethic. Hence the birth of the sonic juggernaut-Silent Treatment.

Present line-up: George Piacentini, singer, favourite tipple–a cup of tea; Rob Kozma, bass player and the Mick Karn of Singapore, favourite tipple–lukewarm Milo; David Havercroft, the third greatest English guitar hero of all time, favourite tipple–hot cup of horlicks; Geoff Travis, drummer and John Bonham’s wee brother, favourite tipple–Bacardi and soda with ice and a twist of lemon; Phil Lennox, piano and synths, the band’s benevolent musical dictator, favourite tipple–schnapps…schnell! Cherry Lennox, singer, the band’s sweetie factor, favourite tipple–a yard of ale (every 20 minutes or so); Mike Quirk, saxophonist, favourite tipple–a large mango smoothie! (that’s a drink not a description of Mike!)

They have played in many venues around Singapore from the Finnish Community Christmas extravaganza to several world-famous educational establishments to local hostelries dotted around the city. They have also recorded two CDs, Silent Treatment in the studio 1 and Silent Treatment in the studio 2. These are a must for any discerning music lover!

The future?

Very simple really…
