Signal chain question

Hi there, just wondering if I can get some help here regarding my pedalboard signal chain.

I plan to either get a Nova System or a Line 6 M9, but I have a Coolcat TOD V1 and a Boss DD5 now which I want to add to the chain. I will be getting a tuner and a volume pedal as well. I will be using the Nova System/Line 6 M9 for one drive, reverbs, modulations and delays.

I have this in mind now,
tuner>> Coolcat TOD V1>> Nova System/Line6 M9(drive>modulation>delay>reverb)>> volume pedal.

So main question, where do I place my Boss DD5 and is what I have in mind now correct?

Thanks in advance!

Your DD5 should be after the M9, before volume pedal, but since you have the M9, don't really need the DD5 already.. Get someone to build you a breakout box. Go youtube it. It allows you to have double presets for each effect no direct mods needed to the unit, only have to plug in an extra box at the expression pedal input.

Sure it's ok. Putting delay before reverb is just a convention. Feel free to break the convention. I have the opposite situation, I often run other reverb pedals before the M9's delays (or even distortion!).

Btw, you might not need a separate tuner as the tuner on the M9 is pretty good.
