sight reading

hi guys.

was wondering if the sightreading that is taught in yamaha is useful? because i used to take lessons there but stopped, but now i see that most people emphasise sight reading as important..

also, how do u guys learn sight reading from?

not that detailed though. but one thing i can add on to that is to SUBDEVIDE. if it's a 4/4 timing.. it's only made up of 1&2&3&4& or 1ena2ena3ena4ena or triplets 1na2na3na4na. basically it's just subdevision problems.

open yourself to learn new music scores constantly. and you'll definitely improve in time to come. =)
