Shure E2C earphones

Bro, please give it a skip. The cable managing system was a big turn off for me.

I would recommend you get a E3C or Etymotic similar offerings. There's also Ultimate Ears.

E2C no no. Bought it. Sound is good. Nothing special. The cable was arghhhh.

Hey Vaiyen. I didnt get the E3C. But I had exp with E2C, hence sharing what I felt.

I think you might get better response at the headphone forums or HWZ. Here alot of talk, not much experience. IMO.

Skip the e2c and get the UM1. It's below $200. You actually give the e2c and maybe other earphones a try at Jaban Network at Adelphi. Shop owner's very friendly but his gears are pure evil.

or just recommend me what you think is the best in-ear earphones :)
under 200 bucks if its possible

I was also asking for opinions on this on the other local forum on Singapore headphones. I was thinking about the Sennheiser CX300, going for $119 i think. I tried it at Comex, it was pretty decent. Haven't tried UM1 yet, but many commented good things, and recommended this. So the choice is yours. I just bought a Creative Ep630 at comex for $38 - recommended as best value for money. For $38, I wasn't disappointed.

i own a Sennheiser CX300

1. very good noise isolation. Except in noisy situations ... very noisy situations like travelling on the North-South line going underground can be a bit annoying ... but still very good noise isolation

2. hardcore bass response. no joke. Sennheisers done very well on their bass response and it sounds really good. comparatively, their highs are a tad rolled off but overall the sound is even.

here's the bad thing about the cable ..

the cable handling noise is super noisy ... like when you walk fast and start walking around .. and it starts shaking you can hear the shaking in your ears ... or when you touch your cable to adjust it .. you can hear the noise handling ... so it's best enjoyed when you're not moving .. standing still

i tried the E2Cs before also .. friend had one of those pairs .. never had trouble with the cable though ..

comparatively ... they're more mid-rangey compared to the CX300 ... more transparent you could put it . =) ..

i have a pair of E3C. Bought off ebay. Prob the cheapest way to get them. Just get some new pads and they're as good as new. New off ebay is around US$150 inc shipping. E2s go for around US$60.

My E3s are great! I use them as in-ear monitors either for my vocals or with our Aviom system. They have a great dynamic range.
