short scale bass

Does anyone know whether Swee Lee sells the Fender Mustang Bass? Or actually any short scale bass?

I'm thinking of getting one - for the sake of my fingers & back. Or other recommendations for other short scale basses - in the price range of $600-900?

epiphone got one flying vee bass 30.5 inch neck but ! i dunno whether singapore have looking for one ... Hmmz all music selling epiphone EB-0 shortscale bass for bout 400 ... mustang bass not sure ... can try at swee lee aljunied ( main storehouse) if i not wrong mustang bass start like 1k upwards i think ...

my dad owns the Fender Mustang, he's happy with it (he better be, i recommended him that one... 8) ) but he's also fond of my Music Man SUB1...

ibanez current ly has a very affordable short-scale bass: GAXB 150 (30"). i'ts not even $450 & it sounds impressive (at least to me). however, be warned of:

*thin frets
*the lack of a tone knob

Fender Mustang bass is selling @$1400-ish at Swee Lee... but it's beautiful.

Checked out the GAXB-150 as well, actually it's 32 inches. it was much easier on my fingers.

I've been practising my long scale bass a lot more now (got myself a teacher) but finding that my left hand and shoulder is hurting on and off - which made me a bit fretful (haha).

Anyways, maybe a 32" fender precision bass (japan made) can do the trick...

fender p-bass japan is 32 " neck ? they look like virtually same size ... never realised ! hmmz p-bass japan i tihnk e cheapest is luther 750 / 760

If only Swee Lee would bring in the Epiphone Viola bass. It's short scale and a looker as well. It may not be a pure bassist favourite, but heck I'm a beatles fan (who can't afford the real Hoffner version).

Anyone knows where I can get one in SG?

I was just thinking about it - probs getting strings for a short scale bass not so easy.

btw how does it look like ?

Take a look at pictures of The Beatles circa 1963. It's the bass that Paul McCartney plays. It lookslike a very big viola ( a larger violin).

hey, i'm refering to the strings that is... that set would accomodate the scale length of at least 31" no problem... otherwise you can buy a regualr set & cut off the excess... 8)
