i used to get my stuff from peninsula basement the guy was a great great guy.too bad they closed down...bloody jeans shop took over it or something.a bloody good waste of space...i hope the guy will open up somehwere man the queensway opens kinda late and when i went there he had like a serious attitude probelm thiking im the just a yp...well maybe he thinks i had no cash so wen i bought a dvd he was kinda stunned.haha

Yah, I used to buy from the basement shop in Penin a lot as well, would do free testing at HMV and go to Penin to buy at lower price! The queensway one is a bit too expensive for some stuff and my friends also complain about the perpetual black face.

HMV is absurdly priced, usually can get better prices from our local metalheads...I'd rather support them. Sometimes can ask the smaller shops to bring in stuff they don't have and not have to pay $40+.

I think you misunderstood , I buy my albums from Amazon MP3 store. I don't buy the CDs. So let's say I go to the album page and click buy, it will deduct the amount from my credit card, and then allow you to download the album from the site. The songs are all mp3s encoded at 256kpbs which is really good quality. And there is no restrictions , you can give it to friends , copy to cd whatever.

So instead of waiting for the CD to ship to you, and then you rip and all that , you can start listening immediately.

The reason why you need a fake US address and American Express Card is because due to legal reasons , only US citizens can buy mp3s. But address can be easily faked (they don't send you anything if you are buying mp3s) and using an AMEX credit card tricks them into thinking you are American. If you use other cards like Citibank and DBS then the purchase will be rejected.
