friends- do share/ recommend your favourite horror flicks, nevermind if it's not in English. IMO many of us are having spare time right now to become couch potatoes 8)

1. The Exorcist- to me, the most tastefully done, period.

2. Nang Nak- more of a love story than a frightful encounter. i have utmost respect for this film, it didn't oblige to include the contemporary 'long haired woman in white' ingredient, the story line remained focused throughout & the cast did their parts superbly.

scary lah................................

Jangan Pandang Belakang is nice - its a malay show :)

catch it.....

I love the original Exorcist (which tops the different exorcism films around), but I do like the Exorcism of Emily Rose as well. Of course, not forgetting the famous Japanese horror film that started it all...The Ring

A few english ones that scare the hell of me when I was younger include:
-Poltergist series
-Hellraiser series
-Pet Cementary

But I'd like to recommend the following film if you're a zombie fan...
Before Peter Jackson did LOTR, King Kong, etc...he did this extremely graphic, funny and over-the-top goriest zombie film in 1992 call Braindead/Dead Alive:

Yeah, it's nothing scary but it's damn satisfying zombie kill-fest show I've ever seen! A classic!!

This movie (and poster) still lingers in my mind since childhood. Jeff Goldblum is excellent in this one. Gory. For those who have seen this film, there are deleted scenes tat didnt make the original cut and I have seen those deleted scenes..very interesting indeed..: )

Hey Faizal...I've seen the Fly too when I was younger..and yeah, the images kinda lingered in my mind too. Pretty disturbed feeling and all. Jeff Goldblum did a really good job in this one :) This is one of the 'horror' films that didn't sacrifice storyline/content for gore...

Cannibal Holocaust. Don't know if any of you watched it but its the most brutal show ever. They kill real live animals in the show and they are part of the film. The killings of the actors were so real that the director had to prove that the actors are still alive. Really good show for gore fans. I think its the best ever. Btw the show is a 70s or 80s show. Very realistic

exorcism of emily rose got me walking around warily around the house when i'm alone, especially in the wee hours of the morning.

The Fly wasn't quite a horror movie for me but it's one of the better sci-fi shows this side of ALIEN (& its excellent sequels).

The Exorcism of Emily Rose is a good one, period.
