settings on EQ pedals

hi all. recently acquired a MXR 6-band eq. got it to get a more cut thru sound from the band for solos, but i dont have a clue how to set the frequency levels on each. im looking for a more cut thru tone, is there any specific default setting i should follow?

haha omg thanks alot bros! really helped

i use my eq just after my crunchbox and i realised a huge tone loss when the eq is in the chain but turned off, it just doesnt have the usual heavy marshally kind of crunchbox tone anymore. any idea how do i solve this bros? haha thanks in advance!
